Size Guide

Size Guide

Sizing is the number one reason parents hesitate before buying, and the number one reason things come back. This page exists to remove that doubt.

The one rule that matters

When between sizes, size up. A slightly roomy romper gets worn for four months. A snug one gets worn twice.

Where to find exact measurements

Every product page lists the measurements for that specific item, taken from the brand's own spec sheet. Because we carry several specialist brands, sizing is not identical across all of them — always check the product page for the item you're buying rather than assuming one brand's 6–12 months matches another's.

Understanding CM sizing

Some of our ranges are sized in centimetres of height rather than by age, which catches people out. As a rough guide, the number is the child's height: 59cm suits a newborn, 66cm around 6 months, 73cm around 9 months, 80cm around 12 months, 85cm around 18 months. Measure your child's height and pick the nearest size up.

How to measure

  1. Height: lie baby flat, heel to crown. Easier with two people.
  2. Chest: around the fullest part, under the arms, snug but not tight.
  3. Weight: the most reliable single measure for newborn sizing.

How our fabrics behave

  • Bamboo: stretches with wear, shrinks very slightly on the first wash. Buy true to size.
  • Muslin cotton: softens and relaxes over time. True to size.
  • Knitted ribbed: generous give. Take the smaller size if genuinely between.
